THE APTITIVE OPPORTUNITY

As an Aptitive Consultant, you will work on small project teams to deliver solutions to our customers

On some projects, you may be a team lead for one or more consultants

On IT strategy or process projects, you will be a member of a team with more senior Aptitive consultants. You will work with many technologies and work as an IT visionary for the client

You will work mostly with local clients as a part of our geographic model, minimizing travel requirements

Work directly with the clients to understand and document their business & technology requirements and to design, code & test technology solutions

You will be involved in building Aptitive by participating in intellectual capital development, training, recruiting, and business development

You will work alongside some of the sharpest developers to improve your technical and consulting skills

Experience in one or more of the following technologies

APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT

Providing and consuming web services:  REST and SOAP
Developing high volume/transaction applications
Multi-Tier applications

APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT LANGUAGES AND FRAMEWORKS

Frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, .NET Entity Framework, NHibernate
Development languages such as .ASP .NET, C#, Java, Python
Front end development: HTML, Javascript, jQuery, CSS

TESTING TOOLS AND FRAMEWORKS

Junit Testing Framework
Load Testing tools: Locust, Selenium, JMeter

CHANGE MANAGEMENT AND DEPLOYMENT

Experience with build tools such as TFS or Bamboo
Setting up and use of change management tools such as TFS, GIT, SVN, CVS
Experience with web and application servers such as Apache, JBoss, WebSphere and Tomcat

DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

SQL Server
Oracle

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • 5 – 15 years of development or related experience (consulting a plus)
  • Experience as a team lead or senior developer
  • Experience working with clients or customers
  • Experience with all phases of the SDLC
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents written in English, with good communication skills on email and phone conferences
  • Ability to share knowledge and expertise with other Aptitive software innovators and architects
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science or Comparable major
  • Aptitive will not sponsor visas for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
